  • Education on life-skills in order to position our students for success (financial literacy, social-emotional well-being, and job opportunities)
  • Peer groups / black student unions in all schools and all levels
  • Book lists as part of the traditional education for all students K-thru-college
  • Develop public / private business partnerships providing internships and scholarships
  • Public school / private school partnership programs
  • Special needs student support for black families
  • Special speakers going into the classrooms
  • Free / low cost tutoring access (more tutors looking like our student population)
  • Culturally applicable after-school enrichment programs (or during school as an elective)
  • Parent and student education on local Santa Monica black history

The education committee of the Black Agenda Organization of Santa Monica proposes that every student that graduates from Santa Monica and Malibu High Schools have the skills, knowledge, and the opportunity to pursue their next phase of their life ambitions, including a strategic plan on accomplishing their goals.
